Usingrecoverymedia
Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtouserecoverymedia.
Youcanuserecoverymediatorestorethecomputertothefactorydefaultsettingsonly.Youcanuse
recoverymediatoputthecomputerinanoperationalstateafterallothermethodsofrecoveryhavefailed.
Attention:Whenyouuserecoverymediatorestorethecomputertothefactorydefaultsettings,alltheles
currentlyonthesolidstatedrivewillbedeletedandreplacedbythefactorydefaultsettings.
Touserecoverymedia,dothefollowing:
1.Dependingonthetypeofyourrecoverymedia,connectthebootmedium(memorykeyorotherUSB
storagedevice)tothecomputer,orinsertthebootdiscintotheopticaldrive.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keywhenturningonthecomputer.WhentheBootMenuwindow
opens,releasetheF12key.
3.SelectthedesiredstartupdeviceandpressEnter.Therestoreprocessbegins.
4.Followtheinstructionsonthescreentocompletetheoperation.

1.Afterrestoringyourcomputertothefactorydefaultsettings,youmighthavetoreinstalldevicedrivers

Performingbackupandrecoveryoperations
TheRescueandRecoveryprogramenablesyoutobackupallyoursolidstatedrivecontentsincludingthe
operatingsystem,datales,softwareprograms,andpersonalsettings.Youcandesignatewherethe
RescueandRecoveryprogramstoresthebackup:
•Inaprotectedareaofyoursolidstatedrive
•OnanattachedexternalUSBharddiskdrive
•Onanetworkdrive
•Onrecordablediscs(arecordableopticaldriveisrequiredforthisoption)
Afteryouhavebackedupthecontentsonthesolidstatedrive,youcanrestorethecompletecontentsof
thesolidstatedrive,restoreonlytheselectedles,orrestoreonlytheWindowsoperatingsystemand
applications.
