Diagnosingproblems

Ifyouexperienceproblemswithyourcomputer,usetheLenovoSolutionCenterprogramasastarting

pointforsolvingthem.

TheLenovoSolutionCenterprogramenablesyoutotroubleshootandresolvecomputerproblems.It

combinesdiagnostictests,systeminformationcollection,securitystatus,andsupportinformation,along

withhintsandtipsformaximumsystemperformance.

Note:TheLenovoSolutionCenterprogramisavailableonlyonmodelspreinstalledwiththeWindows7

operatingsystem.Italsocanbedownloadedfromhttp://www.lenovo.com/diagnose.

Whenyouaresettingupyourcomputer,theLenovoSolutionCenterprogrampromptsyoutocreaterecovery

media,whichyoucanusetorestorethesolidstatedrivetothefactorydefaultstate.Formoreinformation,

Troubleshooting

Ifyourcomputerhasanerror,ittypicallydisplaysamessageoranerrorcode,orabeepsoundswhen

youturniton.Whenyouexperienceaproblem,refertothecorrespondingsectionsinthistopictotryto

solvetheproblembyyourself.

Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.

Ifyourcomputeriscompletelyunresponsive(youcannotusetheUltraNavpointingdeviceorthekeyboard),

dothefollowing:

1.Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormoretoturnoffthecomputer,andthenrestartthe

computerbypressingthepowerbutton.

Note:Ifyoucannotturnoffyourcomputer,orifyoucannotrestartit,continuewithstep2.

2.Removetheacpoweradapterfromthecomputer,andresetthesystembyinsertingastraightened

paperclipintotheemergencyresethole.Tolocatetheresethole,referto“Bottomview”onpage5.
