TERMINATIONS
INSTALLATION
WARNING: TO AVOID FIRE, SHOCK OR DEATH: TURN OFF POWER SUPPLYING
THIS EQUIPMENT, AND CONFIRM POWER IS OFF, before installing, removing or
servicing this equipment.
1. Loosen each wire screw (A) on the two main wire lugs (B) (fig. 1).
2. Remove and retain the two mounting nuts (C) (fig. 2).
3. Disconnect main wires (if necessary) and discard main wire lugs (B) (fig. 3).
4. Slide terminal covers (D) off the main breaker and remove the knock-outs (E) on the
top side (fig. 4).
5. Place circuit breaker into load center with mounting tab (F) under mounting flange (G) and the
bus connections (H) over the mounting screws (fig. 5).
6. Install previously removed mounting nuts (C) and torque to 60 lb-ins. (fig. 6).
7. Insert main wires into two circuit breaker lugs (I) (fig. 7). Torque lug wire screws (J) to
specifications in table below.
8. Replace terminal covers (D) over the circuit breaker lugs (I) (fig. 8).
NOTE: For Service Equipment, apply “SERVICE DISCONNECT” label to trim, near Main Breaker
handle. Bonding strap (K) (included) MUST be installed (fig. 9). Torque screws to 20 lb-ins.
NOTE: For Branch Equipment, apply “MAIN” label to trim, near Main Breaker handle. Bonding
strap (K) (included) should be discarded (fig. 9).

Main Breaker Phase B 300 MCM - #3 AWG 1.0 in. 250 lb-ins.

Panel Ground 2/0 AWG - #4 AWG 0.75 in. 50 lb-ins.
