DETERMINE THE UNIT LOCATION
1. Locate the appliance so that if water connections should leak, water damage will not
occur. When such locations cannot be avoided, it is recommended that a suitable drain
pan, adequately drained, be installed under the unit. The pan must not restrict
combustion airflow.
Under no circumstances is the manufacturer to be held responsible for water damage in
connection with this unit, or any of its components.
2. DO NOT install this appliance in any location where gasoline or flammable vapors are
likely to be present.
3. The appliance must be installed on a level floor. Combustible floor locations may be
used. Maintain required clearances from combustible surfaces.
4. The appliance must be installed indoors where it is protected from exposure to wind, rain,
and weather.
5. This appliance may condense the products of combustion if operated at water
temperatures below 140°F (60°C). Ensure that the appliance is located near an
acceptable drain where condensate that may form in the venting system can be properly
collected and disposed.
6. Access to the rear of the appliance MUST be maintained.
