Cleaning your Icemaker
L15ICE
Use nonammable cleaners. Do not use ammonia type cleaners.
Complete cleaning should be done at least once a year. More frequent cleaning may be required in some exisng
water condions.
1. Unplug appliance or disconnect power.
2. Remove all substances.
3. Wash the inside walls with a soluon of mild detergent in warm water or 2 tbsp. (26 mg) baking soda to
1qt (0.95 L) warm water. Alternavely, 5 oz. of a recommended cleaner such as Lime-A-Way diluted in 1 gallon of warm
water may be used.
Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaners such as window sprays, scouring cleansers, ammable uids, cleaning waxes,
concentrated detergents, bleaches or cleansers containing petroleum products on plasc parts, interior and door
liners or gaskets. Do not use paper towels, scouring pads, or other harsh cleaning tools. These can scratch or
damage materials.
4. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean so cloth.
5. Use the appropriate cleaning method for your exterior nish.
Wash exteriors with a clean sponge or so cloth and a mild detergent in warm water. Do not use abrasive or harsh
cleaners, or cleaners not designed for stainless steel. Dry thoroughly with a so cloth. For addional protecon for
exterior surfaces apply stainless steel appliance polish with a clean, so cloth. This is especially important in costal
areas, and installaons near a swimming pool, or where chlorides are present.
6. Plug in appliance or reconnect power.
It is important to keep the area around the icemaker clean. Dirt, dust or insects in the icemaker could cause electrical
damage to the equipment of harm to individuals.
