B1. Position the appliance in a dry place on a level surface, making sure that the work area in front of the
appliance itself is clear of obstacles and there is enough room to accommodate the bags with the food to
be packed.
B2. Choose the bag size suited for the food you intend to preserve. Check that the bag you are going to use
is at least 8 cm longer than the food to be packaged, taking into account an additional 2 cm for each time
the bag will be subsequently reused.
B3. If you are using pre-cut bags, go directly to step B5 below.
B4. Making bags from MAGIC VAC
®
rolls
- Unroll a bag of suitable length and cut it using the MAGIC Cutter (15) as shown in Fig. E, moving it from
rim to rim. Now you can seal an open side of the cut bag as follows:
- Position either of the two open ends of the bag on the sealing bar (11) with the smooth side up (fig. F).
Warning: be careful not to let the bag hang over into the vacuum chamber (10) or on the sealing
gasket (9).
- Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph A.
B5. Vacuum packing with bags cut from a roll or pre-cut bags
- Place food in the bag without creasing it excessively or stretching surfaces.
Eliminate any liquids or food residues from the area inside the bag that will be sealed.
- Place the bag and its contents in front of the appliance and place the open end inside the vacuum
chamber (10) (fig. G).
- Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph A.

B. USING MOD. P0703ED WITH THE BAGS
IMPORTANT: Before starting the vacuum process fill the containers, leaving at least 1 to 3 cm head

C2. Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph A (see fig. H), then turn the knob to the “CLOSED” position.
C3. To open the containers turn the knob to the “OPEN” position.
The Universal Caps work just like the lids for MAGIC VAC

WARNING: With universal lids only use containers suitable for vacuum packing; unsuitable containers
could implode and cause injury.
D. 1/1.5-litre rectangular MAGIC VAC
®
Family containers
D1. Lock the safety catches (16) before starting the vacuum process. Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph
A (see fig. I).
D2. Once a vacuum is formed, the vacuum indicator (17) of the container should be depressed and it should
remain depressed throughout storage of the vacuum-packed food item. Should this indicator return into
a raised position, it means that there is no longer a vacuum inside the container.
D3. To open the containers, first press the quick release (18) and then the safety catches (16).
E. 0.75/1.5/3-litre cylindrical MAGIC VAC
®
Family containers

It may be used to seal partly filled bottles of wine or non-fizzy beverages.
F1. Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph A (see fig. M).
F2. To open a bottle sealed with the Bottle Cap (20), simply pull the cap out of the bottle.
G. Glass jars sealed with metal lids (e.g. Leifheit)
Use the lid attachment to vacuum pack foods in glass jars with a metal lid (accessory that may be purchased
separately, code ACO1007)
G1. Before starting the vacuum process place the lid attachment (21) directly on the jar with the metal lid (22)
only. Create a vacuum as directed in paragraph A (see fig. N).
G2. Apply the ring (23) supplied with the jar and screw it down all the way.
G3. To open a glass jar vacuum-sealed with a metal lid, use the lid opener provided; the side with writing
