Step 1. To remove the OEM exhaust system you will first
need to remove the rear valance. To do so you will need to
remove The two 10mm bolts behind each reflector, the two
10mm bolts behind the license plate and two more 10mm bolts
just underneath the license plate. Then you will need to
remove the five 8mm bolts on both sides of the valance
underside. Next, with the rear valance removed unplug the
motor on both inlet pipe valves and unfasten the inlet pipe from
the catalytic converter. Disengage all welded hangers from the
rubber isolators. The OEM system may now be removed. Be
sure not to damage and retain all mounting hardware and
hanger isolators as they will be reused to install your new
MagnaFlow system.
Step 3. Next, Loosely attach the Muffler Assemblies to
the Inlet pipe using the provided 3.00" clamps. You will then
need to fasten the provided cross bracket in place between
the two muffler assembles using the provided 1/4" fasteners.
Insert all hangers in the rubber isolators.
Step 2. To Install your Magnaflow system start with The
OEM system and your new system sitting on the ground next
to eachother. Switch over the valve motors from the OEM
system to the new system by bolting the OEM valve motors
onto the Inlet pipes assembly valve plates, re-using the OEM
bolt fasteners. Next position the Inlet pipe assemblies over
the transmission axle, loosely attaching the Inlet pipes to the
catalytic converter using the OEM clamp. Dont forget to plug
in the valve motors wire, once the inlet pipes are in position.
Leave all clamps and fasteners loose for final adjustment of
complete system.
Step 4. Now you can re-attatch the rear valance to the
vehicle using the OEM fasteners. Once the rear valance is
back in place, loosely fasten the Tip sub-assemblies
together while on the ground using the supplied fasteners.
