products are guaranteed as follows: all speaker

elec tro nic compo nents are fully guaranteed for a
period of TH REE y EARS from date of purchase;
the cabinetry is guara
nteed against man ufacturing
defects only, for a per iod of TWO YEARS
from
date of purchase.
In th e event that service is required, all
necessary parts and la
bor "will be furnished free of
charge during the
abo ve stated periods. The
conditions of this Warranty,-and th e extent of t he
responsibility of MARANTZ COMPANY, INC.

der this Warranty, are as follows:
1. The purchase must have been made from
an auth or ized MARANTZ dealer,
2. The Warranty extends only in favor of
the.original, registered owner of the,
prod uct.
3. The Warranty Registration Card must be
transmitt ed to MARANTZ COMPANY, INC., P. O.
Box 99 , Sun Valtev, California
91352 , not later
than TEN DAYS from
date of purchase.
4. The Warranty will
become void if repairs
are effected by .anvone
other than an authorized
MARAI'JTZService
Station.
5. If it becomes necessary to send th is
product or any defective part to MARANTZ
COMPANY, INC., or to an authorized MARANTZ
Service
Statio n, all .shipping charges must be fully
prepaid.
If the ent ire instrument is sent, it mustbe
shipped in its original package. No accessories
shou ld be shipped with the .product. If any
accessories are shipped with the
product,
MARANTZ COMPANY, INC. shall have no
liability whatsoever for loss of or damage to any
such
~cessor i es , nor for the safe return thereof.
6. This Warrant y shall
be valid only if the
purchase was. made within the United States of
America. The Warranty shall
not apply unless
shipme nt is made by the pu rchaser to
the
MARANTZ Service Station from a point within
the United States. If t he requested repairs
andlor
parts exchange are within the terms of this
Warranty , MARANTZ COMPANY, INC. will
prepay return shipp ing charges, provided that such
retu rn
shipment is to be made to an address
located within
the United States.
7. Th is Warranty is void if t he Serial
Numbe r has been altered or remoiied. This
Warranty shall not . apply ' if the produ
ct has not
been c
onn ected or opera ted in acco rda nce with the
instr
uct ions furn ished by MARANTZ COMPANY,
INC. This Warra
nty shall also be void if the
product has been altered or repaired in any way
which MARANTZ COMPANY, INC. be lieves has
affected
.. the .stability or reliability of the prod uct.
8. MARANTZ COMPANY, INC. sha ll have
no liability whatsoever for consequential damages:
The sole responsibility of MARANTZ
COMPANY"
INC. under this Warranty shall be limited to 'the
repair of the
product , or .replecernent the reof, in
the sole discretion of MARANTZ COMPANY,
INC.
9. This Warranty does n
ot include the
furnishings of labor or parts for use
rrnain tenance,
as the same is described in
the ins truc tion manual
or
handbook furnished with't his product.
10. This Warr anty is valid only with respect
to repa irs effec ted by an
aut horized MARANTZ
Service Station.
11 . EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THAT
APPLICABLE LAW, P RECLUDE S A
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY, THERE IS NO
IMPLIED WAR R AN T Y O F
MERCHANTABI LITY OR FI TNESS WITH
RESPECT TO THIS PRODUCT, NOR ARE
THERE ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHICH
EXTEND BEYOND THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS WARRANTY; ORDINARY PER IODIC
CHECK·UPS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS
WARRANTY.

the right to make chaf)ges in design
andlor
improvements, upon its products without any
obligation to include these changes in any
products theretofore manu factured.
