Use
an
"L"
shaped
piece
of
metal
(lintel)
across
the
top
of
the
fireplace
opening
when
a
non-combustible
material
is
used
on the face of the fireplace.
It
can
be
attached
to
the face
of
the
fireplace with screws
(see
Figure
40).
