Using low flash point solvents or gasoline to clean the sponge material.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Low flash point solvents or gasoline can catch fire or explode.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Use parts cleaning solvent to clean the sponge material.

POTENTIAL HAZARD
Cleaning of the spark arrester when exhaust system is hot.
WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Could injure the eyes. Could cause burns.
Could cause carbon monoxide poisoning, possibly leading to
death.
Could start a fire.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
When cleaning the spark arrester: Always let the exhaust system
cool prior to touching exhaust components.
Do not start the engine when cleaning the exhaust system.
