A temporary adjusting can also be done to the brake cable on the
parking lever side by turn the adjuster (nut) directly. But the adjust range
is limited. Always do the
procedure 1 to 8
when necessary.
Parking Brake Indicator (light) Switch Adjustment
The parking indicator switch, which is activated by the parking lever, is
properly adjusted when the indicator light comes on just before braking
takes effect. If necessary, adjust the parking indicator switch as follows.
1. Open the hood. (See 7. CONTROL AND PARTS FUNCTIONS in this
manual for hood opening and closing procedures.)
2. Turn the adjusting nut
in or out to make the light come on
properly, then lock the lock nut

CARBURETOR/ ENGINE IDLE RPM
ADJUSTMENT
If the engine idle speed is not satisfactory,
and all other conditions are favorable, the
carburetor can be adjusted as follows:
1. Warm up the engine by running the
vehicle approximately five minutes.
2. Place the transmission in gear with the
parking brake applied.
3. Adjust the carburetor idle screw in or out until the desired idle RPM
is reached. Turning the screw in (clockwise) will raise RPM. Turning
