Overview
The UltraNet Edge 3000 interconnects Fibre Channel fabrics over extended distances, using a new
or existing IP or ATM network. The UltraNet Edge 3000 can be customized and configured as 1x1
and 2x2 configurations in an IP, or ATM WAN implementation.
Note: 1x2, 2x1, and 3x1 configurations are possible, but not supported as a standard
implementation.
The UltraNet Edge 3000 has been designed to be user installable, configurable, and maintainable.
The installation can be performed by the customer or with assistance from McDATA Support.
Minimum Software Levels
The following section provides the minimum software levels for the release:
• UltraNet Edge 3000 Software: Version 3.2
• UltraNet ConfigManager: Version 5.7.1
• UltraNet WebView: Version 3.4.4
