Configuring the UltraNet Edge 3000 for Brocade Remote Switch License
When using the Brocade Remote Switch License (RSL) with a UltraNet Edge 3000, use UltraNet
ConfigManager to configure the UltraNet Edge 3000 Fibre Channel interface to run with RSL.
The No Remote Switch License (Flow Control Mode 2) option in (UCM) is the default. If you
are running without the RSL, you do not need to make any further configuration changes.
If you are using the RSL, use the following procedure to use UCM to configure the UltraNet Edge
3000 Fibre Channel interface for use with the RSL.
Setting the Flow Control Mode in UCM for the RSL
1. From the UCM Network Map, double-click on the Fibre Channel interface.
The FC10 - Node10 screen appears.
2. Select the Flow Control tab.
3. Select Flow Control Mode 3 (Brocade RSL required) if you are using the RSL.
Note: Flow Control Mode 2 (Brocade RSL not required) is the default.
4. Click OK.
