PID Format Settings
The required PID format settings for the Brocade Fibre Channel switches are determined by the
series/model of the Brocade switch and the firmware level used.
Note: The PID format settings should be consistent throughout the fabric.
Table 2-9 provides the required PID format settings for Brocade 2000 series/models. For all other
Brocade series/models, the PID format settings can be either 0 or 1, as long as they are consistent
throughout the fabric.

Note:
Firmware 2.6.2a recommended
Note: Brocade 2000 series without RSL is not compatible with Brocade models 3900, 12000,
24000, and 4100. These models only support PID=1, which is not supported by Brocade 2000 series
without RSL.
