Over 20 alarm formats supported including Contact ID, SIA and Pulse. Events
are reported to PC in MCDI, MCDI Extended, Surgard or Ademco 685 modes to
be compatible with most Monitoring software on the market such as SECU-
RITHOR, WINSAMM, SAMM, A-Traq, Patriot, SIS, SIMS, Microkey and Central
works.
Fast and easy set-up
D4 is fully controllable either from connected PC or from front display and con-
trols. Easy set-up in a few minutes without the need of factory technicians or
the complicated menus of legacy receivers.
Fast response from receiver is insured by MCDI generation
4
programming.
Handshake sequences, rings and several parameters are programmable to
present panels with the right handshake. Favourite handshake sequences
can be stored for up to 10000 accounts.
Multi-lingual display
Configuration menus are available from front display menus in English, French,
Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Russian. More languages available
from PC configuration tool.
Easy to read alarms signals
D4 is ideal to use in Stand Alone supervision such as guard booths: no PC and
software needed in most cases. Just read the incoming alarm from the front
display and browse up and down incoming alarm events ordered by order of
arrival. Caller ID is also displayed when available. An external 5V relay at the
back can trigger lights, sirens.
Dual Power Sources
D4 can be powered by included power supply or external battery thus making
sure your receiver keeps on receiving for days even in case of power outage.
Dual Inputs
2 RJ11 phone line jacks. Alarms can be received on both lines simultaneously.
Lines are identified with a line number (0 to 255) for the Monitoring Software
thus making is possible to have D4 identified as two receivers or several D4
grouped as one receiver.
GSM back-up
D4 supports wireless phone link for mobile use such as MCDI GSM
backup interface GCI1800 and GCI1900. Sold separately.
Dual Outputs
For connection to computer: 1 USB client port and 1 serial
port. Both outputs transmit alarm signals received by D4,
One is used as primary for acknowledge and the second
one for logs or redundancy. Signal can be sent to 2 sepa-
rate PCs or in the same PC to separate applications.
Dual logs
Printer is used to hardcopy raw logs from D4 as alarms are
received. Secondary output sends signals to log file in PC
(Windows logger supplied-.Net required).
STM SECURITHOR Mobile Web Viewer option
D4 events can be viewed online using STM Mobile web
viewer from MCDI. This special version let’s you view
events and description on iPhone, Android phones or
iPad like devices with internet access.
STM is sold separately from Ed or D4. It is bundled with some Securithor versions
Decrypta 4 is the most recent alarm receiver from

New! Permanent status bar and LEDs indicator
Directly from the front window, now see exactly what is happening from
line communication, dead line detection for both phone lines , online/off line
printer to communication or absent PC. Display status bar is doubled by flash-
ing green and yellow LEDs to notice line and PC connections from distance.
Power LED shown in status plus flashing to indicate if D4 is switching from
main power to battery back-up.
Display:
Easy to read graphic display. Incoming signals breakdown by line number,
receiver number, date, time, account/alarm codes and caller ID.
D4 displays last 4095 events with automatic or manual mode (acknowledge
required). Option to keep last event permanently on display or to require
operator’s acknowledge.
If not using a Monitoring software, acknowledgement of incoming alarms is
done by pressing the Alarm acknowledge key (CR).
Extended memory and logs
D4 displays last 4095 events while power is maintained. Events are displayed
on LCD as a sequential pile when power is maintained. Options to jump in pile
are controlled by front keys. Memory is protected by NV ram.
Handshake sequence
Programmable handshake sequence lets you
program the formats you want and forget
about the ones you are not using in order
to speed up the time D4 takes to answer.
Favourite sequences are stored for up to
10000 accounts.
DRIVERS AND COMMUNICATION
USB drivers supplied Windows Server 2003, XP, Vista, Server 2008, 7, Server
2011/12.
Serial communication with DOS, Linux, and Windows. D4 can be configured
and operated without PC or with PC using OS with .net 3.5 enabled.
Automation software
D4 is designed to work at his best with SECURI-
THOR from MCDI SP. But it’s also compatible with
most Automation Software on the market includ-
ing SAMM, WINSAMM, Patriot, Bold, FROUROS II,
SIS, SIMS, Softgard, Centralworks. D4 Reporting
to Automation software in MCDI, MCDI enhanced,
Ademco 685m SG MLR2, MRL2000 modes. Sup-
ports 3 digits line numbers and 3 digits receiver
numbers in MCDI SP and SG enhanced modes.
Form factor and construction:
The EXTRIUM box
D4 is made with the Extrium family box. At MCDI, thinking inside the box
means we make special boxes that can be used several ways. D4 outer cover
includes a stand for raised or stackable position as a desktop unit. Remove
outer cover and D4 can be used inside a PC or a serv-
er because it’s the exact form factor of a CD unit/
hardrive unit
. Exactly what you need for operation
in a server colocation rack or a remote unattended
location. PC standardized screws on sides make it
also easy to secure in a guard booth or factory plant.
Fan-less design and no mechanical moving parts
ensure you get the best uptime because there are no prone to break parts.
No springs buttons: D4 buttons are sealed and in-
corporated in front membranes. All commands are
also available from PC Configurator

Power Requirements:
Auto reboot upon power restore. From 9-12V DC Battery/ Power Supply:
250mA with fall-over management. Included power supply: 96-240V auto-
ranging. IEC13 power cord to wall outlet.
Energy saving automatically switches LCD backlight when switching to bat-
tery.
Relay
D4 is fitted with an internal relay to trigger externally powered devices such
as a visual indicator, strobe light or siren. Terminal posts, dry contacts, on the
back of D4 for normally open and normally close positions. Relay is triggered
each time an alarm signal is received by D4. Relay maximum current 30VDC
1A max.
Station Requirements
-D4 can be configured and operated without PC by menus on front display in
English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
-Configuration by PC through USB or serial port. PC configuration tools
requires installation of Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework supplied on D4 CD. PC
configuration tool in Arabic, English, Farsi, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian
and Spanish
-POS printer of compatible with Epson T family . Designed to use with Epson
T88V.
-Wireless phone link for mobile use: GSM 1800/1900 or analog to RJ11 com-
muted .
-Caller ID service must be provided by Telco
(Bellcore type 1 or compatible ETSI types) for
Calling phone number to display.
Multiple D4

port on PC using a low cost USB hub.
