1. Connect the short adapter cable to the LNB and the satellite finder to the connection „LNB“.
2. Connect your coaxial cable to the set-top box and the satellite finder to the connection „REC“
3. Turn on the satellite set-top box The display of Satfinder should be approximately at the position „0-10“. With the thumbwheel (9)
you can adjust the rough attenuation.
4. Control the antenna elevation angle. The angle depends on the satellites and your location. For Astra1 (19.2 ° E), the angle is in
Germany, depending on the position at about 30-22°.
5. Turn the antenna slowly to the left or right until the scale of Satfinder deflects. Should the level indicator from the stop, adjust
the setting of the ATT button.
6. Move the antenna slowly to the left or right until you have reached the highest value. Also moving the antenna up and down
until reaching the highest value. To facilitate the alignment even in poor visibility for Satfinder, the unit simultaneously outputs an
alarm tone. The higher the pitch, the better the signal. (Depending on the setting of the variable attenuator) Tighten the screws
of the antenna fixed carefully and evenly.
7. Turn off the receiver and remove the auxiliary cable and satellite finder. Connect your coaxial again to the LNB. Your antenna is
now optimally aligned. With the help of the TV, you can check all the settings.
1. To avoid a continuous full scale reading, do not use
the digital SATFINDER directly in front of the dish.
2. When using a LNB with gain higher than 60dB, in-
sert a 5dB attenuator between the LNB/LNBF and
the digital SATFINDER. In case no satellite receiver is
at hand a 13-18V DC power supply with F-connec-
tor can be connected on the Receiver side of the
digital SATFINDER to power the SATFINDER.
