CAUTION: The height adjustment ring must be fully tightened before attaching the
assembly of the motor section to the stand.
Attach the motor/body assembly to the top of the stand and tighten the
fastening screw rmly.
Unscrew the blade retaining knob from the motor spindle by rotating it
clockwise.
Unscrew the grille retaining ring from the front of the motor housing by rotating it
anticlockwise.
Position the rear grille against the front of the motor housing with the handle
uppermost, ensuring that the locating pegs on the motor housing are engaged
correctly in the holes in the grille.
Screw the grille retaining ring onto the projecting thread on the motor housing,
by rotating clockwise and tighten rmly.
Place the fan blade onto the motor spindle, locating the slot at the back of the
blade on the drive pin that passes through the motor spindle.
Screw the blade retaining knob onto the motor spindle by rotating it
anticlockwise, and tighten rmly against the front of the blade.
Position the front grille against the rear grille so that the holes in the rims that
accept the small nut and bolt are in line. Insert the bolt through the holes and
screw on the nut. Do not fully tighten at this stage.
Move the grille retaining clips into position ensuring that they engage correctly
on the rim of the grille.
Fully tighten the small nut and bolt that passes through the rim of the grille.
PRIOR TO FIRST USE
Check that you have removed all packaging from your tower ventilator.
USE
WARNING:
In order to reduce the risk of re or electric shock, never use the appliance together
with an electronic timer.
To adjust the up and down angle of the airow, loosen the head clamping screw
and tilt the head up or down to the required position. Re-tighten the clamping
screw to hold the head in the desired position.
The height of the fan can be adjusted by loosening the height adjustment ring on
the column, carefully raising or lowering the fan to the height required and then
rmly re-tightening the height adjustment ring.
Fit 2 AAA size batteries (not supplied) into the remote controller, ensuring they
are inserted the correct way round as indicated by the detail marked in the
bottom of the battery compartment. When the batteries are exhausted, dispose
of them in the proper manner and in accordance with local regulations.
The hand held remote controller is directional and must be pointed towards the
fan control panel to be effective. The operating range can be up to 8 metres
depending on the state of the batteries and the local environment.
1. Plug in, and the Power indicator is on.
2. Use the control panel or the remote controller to run the fan.
ON/SPEED Button
Press the ON/SPEED button to turn the fan on when the indicator is on.
Press the ON/SPEED button to select the desired speed.
SWING Button
Press the SWING Button to swing the fan or stop the swing.
Caution: The fan should always be switched off when making any adjustment to
height or head angle.
TIMER Button
Press the TIMER button to set your desired time. The time combination is as shown
in the following table (the timer with 7.5 hours duration). And the appliance will
automatically stop when the set time has expired.
If the timer function is not used or the appliance is switched off before the set time
has expired, switch the appliance off by pressing the OFF button and press the
TIMER Button to stop the timer setting.
OFF Button
Press the OFF Button to turn it off.
CLEANING
Remove the plug from the socket before cleaning.
Allow to cool down before cleaning.
Clean the plastic parts using a damp cloth and a mild detergent, and ensure that
all detergent residue is removed.
Never submerge the appliance in water, and no water must be allowed to get
into it.
Do not use strong or abrasive cleaning agents, solvents or similar to clean
the appliance, as these may scratch or damage the external surfaces and the
ceramic plates.
Wipe it with a well-wrung soft cloth.

Plug wiring:
This product is tted with a BS 1363 5-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse,
only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 5
amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover tted, this cover must be
retted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must
not be used. You must also check if the socket outlets in your home t with the plug
of the appliance. If the socket outlet in your home does not t with the plug, the
plug must be removed and disposed of safely as insertion of the plug into the
socket is likely to cause electric hazard.
As this product is a class II appliance, the pin of
BS plug for earth connection is false.
ENVIRONMENTAL TIPS
Once any electrical product is no longer functional, it should be disposed of in such
a way as to cause minimum environment impact, in accordance with the regulations
of your local authority. In most cases you can take such products to your local
recycling station.

In accordance with the WEEE directive, every member state must ensure correct
collection, recovery, handling and recycling of electrical and electronic waste.
Private households in the EU can take used equipment to special recycling stations
free of charge. In some member states you can, in certain cases, return the used
equipment to the retailer from whom you purchased it, if you are purchasing new
equipment.
Contact your retailer, distributor or the municipal authorities for further information
on what you should do with electrical and electronic waste.
