repeated for every new filter cartridge.

ater outlet *)
All machines are provided with water outlet muffs
and must be connected with the hoses supplied
to a drain pipe with stench trap.
*) Should there be no water supply or waste
water outlet at the place of installation, we can
supply on request a „non-pressure set“, con-
sisting of a 20-litre water tank and a 20-litre
waste water tank. Only water with a hardness of
approx. 5° dKH may be used (e.g. water treated
with a water filter supplied separately).
Non return safety valve included in the pressure-
less set has to be installed in the machine..
d) Canister use
ATTENTION!
The fresh-water canister must be emptied,
washed out with neutral-smelling cleaner and
thoroughly rinsed once a day for hygienic rea-
sons.
The waste-water tank must also be emptied
and washed out with neutral-smelling cleaner
daily.
Cabinets
On request, we can supply the appropriate cabi-
nets for placing the machine on. These are avai-
lable as cup Center 1, cup Center 2 and cup
Solitaire.
When installing the cup Solitaire, please note
that this cabinet must be secured to the floor or
wall using the fixtures provided, in order to gua-
rantee stable operation. Alternatively, we can
supply a 6 mm thick stainless steel base plate,
on which the cup Solitaire can be screwed.
12. Safety precautions and war-
nings
쎲 Keep these operating instructions near the
machine, so that the operator can use the
machine correctly at all times.
쎲 Maximum machine safety is among those
product features which MELITTA System-
Service places particular emphasis on.
Despite all safety precautions, however, in-
correct handling of any machine can always
result in potential risks. For this reason - in
the interest of your safety - we have compi-
led the following list of danger warnings.
쎲 Operation of the machine only for indoor
use.
쎲 The connection of the machine to the cus-
tomer’s mains supply as well as all mainte-
nance and repair work must be carried out
by the Technical Service staff of MELITTA
SystemService.
쎲 The built-in and tested safety devices must
under no circumstances be repaired, chan-
ged or bridged by non-experts.
쎲 Caution! Do not put hand into the coffee
bean and instant beverage tanks ,
while the machine is in operation. There is
the danger of trapping!
쎲 Caution! There is a danger of scalding wit-
hin the area of the coffee outlet .
쎲 MELITTA SystemService will not be liable
for damage arising from lack of maintenan-
ce, unprofessional work on the machine or
the installation of parts not conforming with
the original construction.
쎲 MELITTA SystemService reserves the right
to carry out, at any time and without prior ar-
rangement, any modifications in the interest
of technical progress.
쎲 If the machine is to be out of operation for a
longer period it must first be cleaned thor-
oughly.
After cleaning, turn off water and electricity
supply at the mains (see directions in sec-
tion 9. „Switching off the machine“, page 16).
쎲 In case of freezing temperatures, the machi-
ne must be drained of all water to prevent
any damage. Please call MELITTA’s Tech-
nical Service in this case.
