Top Cowl Removal and Installation
TOP COWL REMOVAL
1. Unlock the cowl latch located at the rear of the engine by lifting the latch
up.
2. Lift up on the rear of the cowl and disengage the front hook.

TOP COWL INSTALLATION
1. Engage the front hook and push the top cowl onto the lower cowl.
2. Push the cowl latch down to lock the cowl in place.
Cooling System
FLUSHING THE COOLING SYSTEM
Flush the internal water passages of the outboard with fresh water after each
use in salt, polluted, or muddy water. This will help prevent a buildup of
deposits from clogging the internal water passages.
