Problem Possible cause Remedy
The drying
process goes on
too long or even
switches off.
You might be asked to
clean the airways/ducting
system again.
Please check all possible
causes, described below.
Ventilation to and from the
dryer may be insufficient,
e.g. because it is installed
in a room which is too
small. This can cause the
temperature in the room to
rise sharply.
Open a door or window while
the dryer is in operation for
increased air flow.
The vents below the door
are blocked.
Remove any objects that are
blocking the vents.
The lint filters are clogged
up with lint or were still
wet when they were
replaced.
Remove any lint.
The lint filters must be
completely dry.
Detergent residues, hair
and fine fibers can block
the condenser unit.
Check the condenser unit from
time to time and clean it if
necessary.
The laundry has not been
spun sufficiently.
Make sure that your laundry is
thoroughly spun at the
appropriate spin speed in the
washing machine.
The tumble dryer has
been overloaded.
Do not exceed the maximum
load for the program selected.
Metallic components, e.g.
zips have prevented the
dryer from registering the
correct moisture level in
the laundry.
Open zips next time.
If the problem occurs again,
dry garments with long zips
using the Warm air program
(timed drying).
