The magicolor 7300’s four (CMYK) self-contained toner
cartridges are each color-coded and keyed for error-free
installation. They contain polymer toner with smaller,
more uniform particles for sharper text, lines, and graph-
ics and smoother graduations in halftones. Polymer toner
is specially formulated with a lubricant for the fusing
process, eliminating an extra consumable expense (fuser
oil) and keeping the cost per page very low.
The magicolor 7300 includes four (CMYK) print units
(OPC drum cartridges). After the printer’s laser diode has
imaged toner color onto each OPC, the image is trans-
ferred to the transfer belt and then to the media.
Replacement print unit assemblies include both the print
unit (OPC drum) and a toner cartridge.
The magicolor 7300 also uses a waste toner box to capture
excess toner discarded during the printing process, prevent-
ing engine damage from loose toner particles. This sturdy
receptacle comes with a seal for proper disposal.
