For businesses using a PostScript driver supplied by the
manufacturer of their host operating system, MINOLTA-
QMS offers PPD files. These files “supplement” the user’s
driver, making magicolor 7300 printer features accessible.

In addition to selecting common printer features, the
PostScript drivers for Windows 98/Me and for Windows
NT 4.0/2000/XP offer other communication tools, including:
•Email job completion notification: Convenient for users
who rely on a printer that’s not in close proximity, email
job completion notification notifies when a print job is
waiting in the output bin. This feature is activated
through the printer driver by simply supplying the appro-
priate Internet email address. (Note: must be on a TCP/IP
network)
•Consumables monitoring: The driver displays consum-
able levels through gas gauge style readers, letting users
know how much of each supply remains before sending
their print job.
