any options that have been added to the magicolor 7300

and “install” them into the driver. For example, if a

duplexer is added to the printer, Quick Config tells the

driver it’s available.

In addition to drivers for Windows and Macintosh, the

magicolor 7300 includes a Linux driver.

PageScope Net Care is the printer management solution

for administrators of small and large business networks. It

provides the security, support, and information-gathering

capabilities that all administrators look for in device man-

agement systems. PageScope Net Care delivers these capa-

bilities in a simple, easy-to-use form that minimizes wasted

time and improves network productivity.

PageScope is installed onto a single host computer on the

network and is accessed from any computer on the net-

work using a standard Web browser.

The system administrator (and designated personnel) can

then perform functions such as retrieving reports on printer

usage, updating the settings of one or many network print-

ers simultaneously, and managing MINOLTA-QMS printers

as well as some Minolta copiers and other manufacturers’

network printers from the PageScope Net Care utility.

In addition to these common tasks, PageScope Net Care

delivers a wide variety of benefits to its users:

•Auto-discovery: PageScope seeks out SNMP-compliant

TCP/IP printers on the network. Auto-discovery of

printers makes installation and configuration of new

printers easier, especially in networks that span a

large area.
