Prevent Changes to Printer Settings: Administrators
can lock the console panel on MINOLTA-QMS printers.
This disables the keys on the printer’s control panel and
prevents anyone from using the panel to make any
change to the printer. The administrator and registered
users of PageScope may still make changes remotely.
Change Printer Settings Remotely: The system admin-
istrator can make changes to the default settings of any
printer discovered by PageScope or any newly installed
printers. Using PageScope, the administrator may
establish a new IP address for any printer on the net-
work by matching the MAC address for the printer.
Organize Printers in Groups: The system administrator
can organize network printers into smaller groups for
easier management of large networks. The administra-
tor can change this view dynamically during a
PageScope session.
Group Settings: By establishing groups of printers, the
system administrator can view and edit settings for simi-
lar printers. The grouping feature allows the administra-
tor to quickly monitor or manage only the printer used
by a specific department, workgroup, building location
within the company, or any other grouping that the
administrator requires. This improves response time and
successful diagnosing of printer problems for individu-
als. By establishing groups of printers, the system admin-
istrator can copy the settings of the “leader” printer into a
template and use this template to quickly reconfigure any
printer in the group.
Multi-settings: The system administrator can broadcast
settings to multiple printers simultaneously, shortening
the time required for installing and configuring existing
or new printers on the network.
