OCUMENTATION
Also included on the Software Utilities CD-ROM is elec-
tronic documentation discussing the Crown Print
Monitors. On a separate document CD-ROM users will
find instructions for installing and operating the magicolor
7300 and its options. The documentation, developed using
Adobe
®
Acrobat, is fully searchable for locating and view-
ing
selected criteria on screen or printing information as
needed.
As a CD-ROM-based tool, the electronic docu-
mentation can easily be posted on a network server for
general users or network administrators to retrieve infor-
mation on demand.
Another advantage of the on-line documentation is the
audio/video clips of installation, operation, and trou-
bleshooting actions, that give users a step-by-step visual
of common printer procedures.

In addition to printer management utilities provided on
CD-ROM, the magicolor 7300 features built-in tools. One
of the most powerful and versatile, yet most accessible for
all users, is PageScope Light.
PageScope Light, a printer-resident HTML page, captures
the activity of the magicolor 7300 and makes that data
available to any user through their Web browser.
The pri-
mary function of PageScope Light is to make it easy to know
the precise status of the printer, even if it’s down the hall in
another room. Without leaving their workstations, users can
view jobs pending and printed, current consumable and
paper levels, how the printer is configured, and much more.
They’re capable of making real-time modifications to printer
settings, such as selecting finishing options. Password protec-
tion can be activated by the system administrator to prohibit
alterations to such settings.
PageScope Light features a color-coded design with user
selections from three categories: System, Job, and Print.
