Available options for the magicolor 7300 include:
•128 and 256 MB DIMMs: Increase system memory up to
512 MB using optional DIMM modules. The magicolor
7300 has two DIMM slots available on the controller for
RAM upgrades. As shipped, one slot contains a 128 MB
DIMM. When upgrading, RAM DIMMs must be 168-
pin, PC133 compliant, unbuffered, and no ECC.
Qualified manufacturer’s include Micron, PNY, and
Kingston.
•Hard Disk Kit: The magicolor 7300 can be equipped
with a 30 GB internal IDE hard disk for electronic colla-
tion, job accounting, and storing fonts and forms. The
kit includes the hard disk and mounting brackets.
•BuzzBox: The BuzzBox device provides auditory
and/or visual notification of any printer offline error
condition. Users can select a flashing light and/or a
beeping indicator to notify that the printer requires
attention. The BuzzBox installs via the magicolor 7300’s
parallel port.
•Optional interfaces: The magicolor 7300 includes built-
in Ethernet, USB, and parallel interfaces. For wireless
connections, 802.11B and Bluetooth standards are sup-
ported through third-party external, optional adapters.
A third-party Token-Ring solution is also available.
