6.4.5 Motor hunts

Increase the torque limit level.
Lighten the load.

The motor hunts.
Is the speed setting
varying?
Encoder has not been set.
Is there load variation?
Is torque limit being
made?
Take proper action to stabilize
the speed setting.
(Example: Enter the filter time
constant (Pr. 822) to the
analog terminal.)
Perform easy gain tuning
(Pr. 819 = 1 (load estimation,
gain estimation), 2
(gain estimation)).
However, gain estimation and
load estimation may not be
made well depending on the
machine and operational
specifications.

Alternatively, if load variation is large,
the motor speed also varies.
Increasing the response of speed
control decreases speed variation.
Perform the encoder setting
