9. Troubleshooting
Symptom Remedy
Communicator does not work Make sure that the power adaptor is
properly connected to the
Communicator and the wall outlet;
Make sure the Ethernet cable is
properly connected between the
Communicator and the LAN or Internet
router;
Reboot the Communicator and make
sure that the MWI LED goes out before
attaching your iPad
IP Commander does not have dial tone Make sure the curly cord is properly
connected between the handset and
the Communicator;
Make sure the power adaptor is
properly connected to the
Communicator and the wall outlet;
Make sure the Communicator is
properly configured for Commander
mode in the Audio System Control
panel
LAN connection is lost Make sure that the power adaptor is
properly connected to the
Communicator and the wall outlet;
Make sure the Ethernet cable is
properly connected between the
Communicator and the LAN or Internet
router;
Reboot the Communicator and make
sure that the MWI LED goes out before
attaching your iPad
Cannot make or receive calls on IP
Commander
Make sure your SIP account is properly
configured and you are registered
successfully
Cannot hear the other party talking or
they cannot hear you talking but call
connects
This is a NAT traversal issue; please
contact your administrator or service
provider
Cannot access the web interface of the
Communicator
Make sure you are browsing to the right
IP address;
Make sure that the communicator is
powered up properly
