Status Icons
These status icons appear in the body of the iDEN Packet Data Service
window:
Mode Option
Use the Mode option on the menu bar to choose how much information that
is displayed in the window and to disconnect from the network:
• Normal mode provides signal strength, battery strength and the number
of kilobytes sent and received for the current packet data session.
Icon Indicates...
3456 Battery Strength icons —remaining
battery charge. More bars on the battery
indicate a greater charge. When the modem
battery is charging, battery icon displays
“sparks” from its top.
a Signal Strength icons — strength of the
network signal. More bars next to the
antenna indicate a stronger signal.
Y Packet Data Ready —modemisreadyto
transmit or receive data.
Text Message — you have one or more
Text Messages. The closed envelope icon
indicates you have one or more unread Text
Messages. See “Viewing Text Messages”
on page 29.
