GUIDELINES FOR INSTALLATION
1) Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified persons in
accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated con-
struction.
2) The unit should be securely mounted on a stable platform. Note: allowing the
fan frame to flex or move will result in undue vibrations and possible pre-
mature motor or fan blade failure.
3) Connect the power to the motor using properly sized cords free from damage.
Follow approved wiring standards if extending fans supplied cord.
4) Before activating the fan, double check to ensure that there are no obstructions
(Cords, wire, debris ) which could interfere with proper fan operation.
5) Remove condensation plug—see diagram.
6) Use liquid tight fittings and conduit.
7) When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical wiring
and other hidden utilities.
Use limitations
1) Fans can be speed controlled
2) Installation instructions for fan and controller must be followed carefully. All
warranty rights and conditions are considered null and void when a low quality
controller is used.
3) Air supply and temperature. Sufficient air supply over the motor must be as-
sured in all circumstances. Limits of operating ambient temperatures are 15 to
112 degrees F ( -19 to 45 C).
4) Industrial restrictions on Polypropylene blades apply. Use with certain chemi-
cals is unsuitable or not recommended—the following is a partial list for
guideline purposes.
