3.2 Initial installation procedure
Follow these steps:
Verify that your communications equipment is installed and operational.
Sign on to the system as QSECOFR. No other user profile will be
accepted by the installation program.
Place the GSMTEXT CD in the CD drive.
Run the command LODRUN (device name).
The software will now be loaded, and entries with default values will be
created in the files.
3.2.1 Quick install program (recommended)
MidJet GSM Text features a Quick Install program that very much simplifies
the installation. It supports connection of a GSM module using a
communication line or via a communication server. The server and the
iSeries communicate over the local area network.
If you prefer to perform a manual installation or if another connection method
is to be used, just press F12 when the first Quick Install screen is displayed.
The values entered in the Quick Install program can all be changed later.
After a few minutes, depending on system model and workload, the GSM
Text Quick Install screen will be displayed.

The name of your company/organisation. It will be displayed on the Main
menu and on printed reports.

Specify the iSeries hardware resource that the GSM module is connected to.
