Press [VOL ] button to increase or decrease the loudness level. Release the button when
the desired level is reached.
The VFD on the front panel will indicate the level set. For NAD Receivers, the VFD will also show
Volume Up” or Volume Down or Volume: _ _ dB (_ _ indicates the numerical dB level) while
pressing VR3’s [VOL ] buttons.
9 BAL
The BALANCE control allows the relative levels of the left and right speakers to be adjusted. The
“Balance Center” setting provides equal level to the left and right speakers.
Rotating the VOLUME control clockwise (or VR3 [VOL ]) moves the balance towards the right.
Rotating the VOLUME control counterclockwise (or VR3 [VOL ]) moves the balance to the
left.
Either left or right balance levels can be set up to a maximum “10” setting. A “10” setting
completely shifts the balance setting to the left or right speaker.
10 TONE
Adjust the Bass or Treble level over a ±10dB range by rotating the VOLUME control clockwise (VR3
[VOL ]) or counterclockwise (VR3 [VOL ]).
11 , ENTER
Select an item in a menu.
12 TONE DFT
Enable or disable Tone Control settings.
Select Tone Defeat to bypass the Tone Controls eectively defeating the eect of the tone
control circuits. If Tone Active” is selected, the Tone Control circuits are active.
CD PLAYER CONTROL (use with NAD VISO THREE internal CD Player and other compatible
NAD CD Player models)
Set the DEVICE SELECTOR to “CD” in order to gain access to these buttons. Some of the control buttons
below are applicable only to specic NAD CD Players; check the owners manual of your NAD model
for control button compatibility. You can also load the applicable NAD code library to this device so
that it can be made compatible with your other NAD equipment. Refer to the section below about
“LIBRARY” on how to load a NAD code library.
NOTE
The same VR 3 CD player control buttons are used in USB mode.
DISP: Show playback time and other display information.
SCAN [ ] : Fast reverse/forward search.
[ ] : Select through folder lists.
[ ] : Select through WMA/MP3 les.
ENTER: Select desired track, folder or WMA/MP3 le.
[ ] : Open or close disc tray.
[ ] : Stop playback.
[ ] : Pause playback temporarily.
[ ] : Go to next track or le.
[ ] : Go to beginning of current/ previous track or le.
[ ] : Start playback.
RAND: Play tracks/les in random order.
RPT: Repeat track/le or whole disc; repeat o.
PROG: Enter or exit program mode.
CLEAR: Delete programmed track/le.
