Section 4
FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Give artificial respiration if not breathing. If breathing is difficult, qualified personnel may give oxygen. Get medical attention.
Ingestion: If swallowed, obtain medical treatment immediately. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with large amount of water for at least 15 minutes, while holding eyelids open. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin: Wash exposed areas with water, then soap and water. Remove and clean contaminated clothing. If irritation persists or develops, get medical
attention.
Section 5
FIRE & EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA
Flash Point (Method Used): 162°F
Autoignition Temperature: N/A
Lower Explosive Limit: N/A
Upper Explosive Limit: N/A
Unusual Fire Explosion Hazards: None expected
Other Hazards: Keep containers tightly closed. Isolate from heat, sparks, electrical equipment and open flame. This material
may produce a floating fire hazard since the vapors may travel or be moved by air currents and be ignited.
Extinguishing Media: Use water fog, foam, dry chemical, or CO
2
Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus with a full-face piece operated in positive pressure mode and full
protective clothing. Water may be used to cool closed containers to prevent pressure build up and possible
auto ignition or explosion when exposed to extreme heat.
Section 6
ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Material Released or Spilled: Do not allow any product to seep into drains, sewers or surface waters. Spills should be collected with
absorbent material for disposal. Extinguish and DO NOT turn on any ignition source until the area is
determined to be free from fire or explosion hazard. Do not allow build up of flammable or combustible vapors
in confined spaces.
Waste Disposal: Dispose of in accordance with applicable local, county, state, and federal regulations. Avoid discharge into
natural waters.
Static Discharge: Take precautionary measures against static discharges when mixing, cleaning, filling or otherwise dispensing
combustible or flammable liquids. Containers should be properly grounded with metal straps, cables or other
appropriate means to relieve static electricity build-up or generation.
Clean-Up: After containing liquid spill by diking and soaking up with inert absorbent material, place in labeled containers
to be sealed for proper and regulated disposal. Only the slightest, most minimal residue should remain. Try to
save uncontaminated material for reuse whenever possible.
Section 7
HANDLING & STORAGE MEASURES
DO NOT FREEZE. Store in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation. Keep containers closed.
Section 8
EXPOSURE CONTROL & PERSONAL PROTECTION
Personal Protective Equipment:
! Eye wash, safety shower.
! Wear safety goggles to protect eyes.
! Aprons and impervious, chemical-resistant gloves should be worn to minimize contact with skin.
! Where respiratory protection is required, use only NIOSH/MSHA approved respirators in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR1910.134.
! Provide dilute ventilation or local exhaust to prevent build-up of vapors.
Other Precautions:
Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not take internally. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin and eyes, and breathing of
vapors. Keep containers closed and upright when not in use. Avoid conditions, which result in formation of inhalable particles such as spraying
or sanding painted surfaces. If such conditions cannot be avoided, use respiratory protection as directed under Special Protection Information.
Work/Hygienic Practices:
Wash hands thoroughly after handling, especially before eating or smoking. Smoke in “Smoking Area” only.
