2. If it is not already selected, select the Pattern bank containing the desired Pattern by
clicking its pad grid on the right.
The selected Pattern bank is surrounded by a white border, and the left part of the Pat-
tern Manager displays the Pattern slots in that bank.
3. Select the desired Pattern by clicking its name in the list on the left or by clicking its cell
in the selected pad grid on the right.
The selected Pattern is loaded in the Pattern Editor and its events appear in the Event
area. Furthermore, this Pattern is referenced by a Clip for the selected Group in the cur-
rent Scene in the Arranger. This Clip replaces any previous Clip for the Group in that
Scene (see chapter 12.6.3, Saturator for more on this).
If you want to select a Pattern already referenced by one or more Clips in the Arranger, you
can click any of these Clips to select and load the referenced Pattern in the Pattern Editor.
This way your arrangement will not be modified.
7.7.2.1 Selecting a Pattern Bank on the MASCHINE STUDIO Controller
To select a Pattern located in another Pattern bank other than the selected one, you need to
select that other Pattern bank first:
Press PATTERN + Button 7 or 8 to select the previous or next Pattern bank, respectively.
If the last Pattern bank is selected and not empty, pressing Button 8 will create a new,
empty Pattern bank see section 7.7.5, Creating and Deleting Pattern Banks for more
