Action Procedure
Save the current effect settings as
preset
Open the Plug-in menu, and select Save As… at the bottom of the
menu.
Recall an effect preset Use the Browser (see chapter 3, Browser), or open the Plug-in menu
and select Open… at the bottom of the menu.
Native Instruments and External Ef-
fects
Open/close the effect window Arrange view: Click the little window icon in the top left corner of the
Parameter area (at the left of the first page tab).
Mix view: In the Plug-in Strip under the Mixer, click the little arrow in
the top left corner of the effect panel.
Save the current settings as de-
fault preset for this effect
Open the Plug-in menu, and select Save As Default… at the bottom of
the menu.

11.1.2.1 Other Effect Operations on the MASCHINE STUDIO Controller
Once you have selected an Effect Plug-in in a Sound, in a Group or in the Master, following
actions are available:
Action Procedure
Insert another effect after the se-
lected effect
Press SHIFT + Button 4.
The Browser automatically opens and lets you select the desired effect
preset to be inserted after the Plug-in currently selected.
Replace the effect Use the Plug-in Browser (press SHIFT + BROWSE) or the Browser
(BROWSE) as described in section 11.1.1, Adding an Effect above.
Remove the effect Press SHIFT + Button 8.
The effect is removed from the Plug-in slot and all following effects are
shifted one slot up to fill the gap.
Move the effect Press SHIFT + Button 5/6 to move the effect to the previous/next slot,
respectively.
Bypass the effect Press SHIFT + Button 7.
