Combustible items stored in the cooking compartment may catch fire. Never store combustible items in the cooking compartment. Never open the appliance door if there is smoke inside. Switch off the appliance and unplug it from the mains or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box. Risk of fire! ■ Loose food remnants, fat and meat juices may catch fire.
en Causes of damage Cleaning function : Warning – Risk of fire! Loose food residues, grease and meat juices may catch fire during the cleaning function. Before starting the cleaning function, remove coarse dirt from the cooking compartment and from the accessories. Risk of fire! ■ The appliance will become very hot on the outside during the cleaning function. Never hang combustible objects, e.g. tea towels, on the door handle. Do not place anything against the front of the appliance.
Environmental protection 7Environmental protection ■ en Open the appliance door as infrequently as possible when the appliance is in use. Your new appliance is particularly energy-efficient. Here you can find tips on how to save even more energy when using the appliance, and how to dispose of your appliance properly. en Accessories ‘ Top/bottom heating eco 50–275 °C ž CircoTherm eco 40–200 °C -------- For gently cooking selected types of food. Heat is emitted from above and below. This heating function is most effective between 150 and 250 °C. This type of heating is used to measure the energy consumption in the conventional mode. For gently cooking selected types of food on one level without preheating.
Accessories Inserting accessories The cooking compartment has four shelf positions. The shelf positions are counted from the bottom up. In some appliances, the top shelf position in the cooking compartment features a grill symbol. : Warning – Risk of burns! The telescopic shelves become hot when the appliance is in use. Take special care not to get burnt when they are pulled out. en Locking function The accessories can be pulled out approximately halfway until they lock in place.

Operating the appliance Cleaning the cooking compartment To eliminate the new-appliance smell, heat up the cooking compartment without anything in it and with the oven door closed. 1. en Operating the appliance 5. Touch the # touch button to start the appliance operation. The heat-up indicator bar and the run time appear in the display. Note: If you want to go directly to the 0 main menu when you switch on the appliance, you can find instructions on how to do this in the Basic settings chapter under "Operation after switching on". Default values The appliance suggests a temperature or setting for each type of heating. You can accept this value or change it in the appropriate area.

Timer + Cooking time * Ready at Use The timer functions like an egg timer. The appliance does not switch on and off automatically. Once the set cooking time has elapsed, the appliance switches off automatically. The appliance switches on automatically, and once the set cooking time has elapsed and the end time has passed, it switches off automatically.
en Childproof lock AChildproof lock Your appliance is equipped with a childproof lock so that children cannot switch it on accidentally or change any settings. Your appliance has two different locks. en Baking and roasting assistant nBaking and roasting assistant The baking and roasting assistant helps you to prepare meals with ease. The appliance applies the most suitable settings. To achieve good results, the cooking compartment must not be too hot for the type of food you have selected. If it is, a message will appear on the display. Allow the cooking compartment to cool down and start again.
Meat thermometer @Meat thermometer The MultiPoint meat thermometer makes precise cooking possible. It measures the temperature inside the food. Once the set temperature has been reached, the appliance automatically switches itself off. Meat t her mo et er en Poultry: Insert the meat probe as far as it will go into the thickest point in the breast. Insert the meat probe into the poultry crossways or lengthways depending on its structure.
en Sabbath mode Setting and starting the appliance operation : Warning – Risk of burns! The cooking interior and the core temperature probe become very hot. Use oven mitts to plug and unplug the core temperature probe. : Warning – Risk of electric shock! The insulation of an incompatible meat probe may be damaged. Only use the meat probe which is recommended for this appliance. Notes ■ The set cooking compartment temperature must be at least 10 °C higher than the core temperature.
Home Connect oHome Connect This appliance is Wi-Fi-capable and can be remotely controlled using a mobile device. If the appliance is not connected to the home network, the appliance functions in the same way as an oven with no network connection and can still be operated via the display. The availability of the Home Connect function depends on the availability of Home Connect services in your country. Home Connect services are not available in every country. You can find more information on this at www.
Cleaning agent en Remote diagnostics If a fault occurs, the after-sales service can use remote diagnostics to access your appliance. Contact the after-sales service, making sure that your appliance is connected to the Home Connect server and checking that the remote diagnostics service is available in your country.
Cleaning agent Door panels Door handle Hot soapy water: Clean with a dish cloth and then dry with a soft cloth. Do not use a glass scraper or a stainless steel scouring pad. Use the EasyClean cleaning aid for intermediate cleaning of the cooking compartment. Dirt is softened beforehand using EasyClean. Poultry will turn out particularly crispy and brown if you baste it towards the end of the roasting time with butter, salted water or orange juice. Meat Baste lean meat with fat as required or cover it with strips of bacon. Score the rind crosswise.

en Tested for you in our cooking studio Tips on roasting and braising The cooking compartment becomes very dirty. The roast is too dark and the crackling is burned in places, and/or the roast is too dry. The crackling is too thin. The roast looks good but the juices are burnt. The roast looks good but the juices are too clear and watery. The meat gets burned during braising. Prepare your food in an enclosed roasting dish with higher temperature or use the grill tray.

The distance between the meat and the lid must be at least 3 cm. The meat may rise. Very hot steam may escape when opening the lid after cooking. Lift the lid at the rear, so that the hot steam can escape away from you. If necessary, braise the meat first by searing it. Add water, wine, vinegar or a similar liquid to the braising liquid.
