Starting the Charcoal

Put in the natural re starter (crumpled
paper is recommended) into the bottom
of the charcoal starter.
NOTE: NewAge does not recommend the use of chemical re starters as it may leave undesirable
avor on the food. Also, some chemical re starters may produce harmful gases.
Fill the charcoal starter with desired
amount of charcoal.
Remove the cooking grate and pour the
charcoal in Kamado (with two hands).
Close the Kamado lid and leave the air
vents open.
Light up the natural re starter, open the kamado and place the charcoal starter on the
charcoal grate. wait till the charcoal is light up.
