Appendix C: Mapped Network Drive
Setup
Setting up the network drive for a Niagara system to export files, requires setting up two administrator
accounts on a remote PC where the shared folder will be located:
 One account for the username (for example, N9100)
 One account for the username SCXUser
The shared folder is created on the remote PC with full access for both the Niagara system and the
SCXUser. On the system, the mapped network drive is created to reconnect at logon using the SCXUser
username.
To set up user accounts on a remote PC:
1.
Click on Start  Control Panel.
2.
Double-click on Administrative Tools.
3.
Double-click on Computer Management.
4.
Expand Local Users and Groups. Click on Users.

Under Action, select New User.
6.
Enter the name of the system (for example, niagara9100) for the User name.
7.
Full name and Description are optional.
8.
Enter viewcast for the Password.
9.
Enter viewcast for the Confirm password.
10.
Clear User must change password at next logon.
11.
Select User cannot change password.
