4.3.3 Transmit optical output
The maximum transmit optical output of an ONT is +5 dBm.
4.3.4 Normal laser operation
In normal operation, fiber cable laser radiation is always off until it receives signal from the line
terminal card.
Operating personnel must observe the instructions on the laser explanatory label before plugging in
the optical module.

4.3.5 Location class
Use cable supports and guides to protect the receptacles from strain.
4.4 Electrical safety guidelines
This section provides the electrical safety guidelines for the ONT equipment.
Note: The ONTs comply with the U.S. National Electrical Code. However, local electrical
authorities have jurisdiction when there are differences between the local and U.S. standards.
