Configuring groups using the CLI
To create and configure a group, use the following command:
/cfg/domain 1/aaa/group <group ID>
where group ID is an integer in the range 1 to 1023 that uniquely identifies the
group in the Nortel SNAS 4050 domain.
When you first create the group, you must enter the group ID. After you have
created the group, you can use either the ID or the name to access the group for
configuration.
When you first create the group, you are prompted to enter the following
parameters:
group name — a string that uniquely identifies the group on the Nortel
SNAS 4050. The maximum length of the string is 255 characters. After you
have defined a name for the group, you can use either the group name or the
group ID to access the Group menu. The group name must match a group
name used by the authentication services. For more information, see Table 30
on page 196.
