Thermostat Control
The temperature within the freezer is controlled by the
thermostat control knob on the control panel.
Position 0 - Off
Turning the thermostat control knob clockwise makes
the temperature progressively colder.
The thermostat setting can vary as the temperature
inside the cabinet depends on the following factors:
- room temperature
- how often the door is opened
- how much food is stored
Using the appliance
Using the appliance
- position of the appliance
During prolonged periods of abnormally hot
weather, if the thermostat is set on too high a
number, the cooling system may operate
continuously and the fridge cooling plate may not
defrost. Turning the thermostat control to a lower
number will cause the automatic defrosting to
resume.
Compartment storage
Frozen food should be stored in the two lower
baskets and the top basket used for freezing fresh
food.
Freezer Tray
The freezer tray is particularly suitable for open
freezing, for example soft fruit such as
strawberries, raspberries etc.
Freezing fresh food
It is important that fresh food placed in the freezer
is frozen quickly and that the food already in the
freezer is warmed as little as possible.
If more than 3-4 kg of fresh food is to be frozen,
proceed as follows:
1. Slide the fast freeze switch (d) to the right 6-24
hours before placing the fresh food in the
freezer, the yellow light will illuminate. The
compressor will now run continuously, to ensure
that the fresh food is frozen as quickly as
possible.
2. Place the fresh food in the top basket and leave
the fast freeze switch on for a further 24 hours.
3. After 24 hours, slide the fast freeze switch back
to the left and the yellow light will go out.
Transfer the food to one of the lower baskets.
If the fast freeze switch is accidentally left on,
the freezer will not be damaged but energy
will be wasted.
