[ASPECT CONV.]
Changing the aspect ratio of a
16:9 picture
You can convert pictures taken with a
[j] aspect ratio to a [i] or a [h]
aspect ratio.
Select [i ASPECT CONV.] from
playback menu ( P74 ).
Select [i] or [h] using e/r
and then press [MENU/SET].

converted.

Press w/q to select a picture and
then press r.

If you select and set a picture with an
aspect ratio other than [j], the
message [CANNOT BE SET ON THIS
PICTURE] is displayed on the screen.

Press w/q to determine the
horizontal position and press the
shutter button to set.

ADJUST.
Use r/e to set the frame position for
pictures rotated vertically.
Press e to select [YES] and then
press [MENU/SET].

If you select [NO], the screen returns to
the one shown in step 3.
Press [MENU/SET] twice to close
the menu.
After converting the aspect ratio, the
picture size may become larger than that
of the original picture.
Files that do not conform to the DCF
standard cannot be converted.
You may not be able to convert pictures
taken on other equipment.
