Configuring the Printer Driver Settings

Windows 2000/Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 (Administrator)

Printer Section

Security Tab

Displays a list of users and groups to whom printer access is assigned. A list of standard permissions for

each group or user is displayed. Check or uncheck the checkboxes for permitting or prohibiting access.

Gray checkbox indicates the permission inheritance.

Add or delete a user or group from the list.

Specify access to a printer, audit, and owner. (See Notes 1 and 2)

NOTE

1. Windows 2000 provides the capability of managing access to various objects (e.g. printers) by

users.

2. Refer to Windows 2000 documentation for details on access permission, audit, and owner.

3. Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 users should refer to the documentation to enable the

Security Tab if this tab is not shown on your PC.
