(P144) Operation sound is small. • Is your finger covering up the speaker? (P11) Motion pictures Recording motion pictures is not possible.
Others Object seems to be warped. • Object seems to be warped slightly when the object moves across the image very fast, but this is because the unit is using MOS for the image sensor. This is not a malfunction. In motion pictures, abnormal clicking and buzzing sounds are recorded. The recorded sound is very quiet. • With recording in a quiet environment, depending on the lenses used, the sound of aperture and focus actions may be recorded in motion pictures. This is not a malfunction.
Others Monitor/Viewfinder The Monitor/Viewfinder turns off although the camera is turned on. • If no operations are performed during the set time period, [Auto LVF/Monitor Off] (P48) is activated, and the Monitor/Viewfinder turns off. • When an object or your hand is positioned near the eye sensor, the Monitor display may switch to the Viewfinder display. (P66) The Monitor/Viewfinder is too bright or dark. • Check [Monitor Luminance] setting. (P47) • Perform [Monitor Display]/[Viewfinder].
Others Noise appears on the monitor. • In dark places, noise may appear to maintain the brightness of the monitor. Monitor/viewfinder appears to be colored when you see it from an angle. • This is a characteristic of this unit’s monitor, and this is not a malfunction. The color tone of the viewfinder differs from the actual tone. • Being a characteristic of the viewfinder of this unit, this phenomenon is not a problem. Recorded images are not affected.
Others Playback sound or operation sound is too low. • Is something covering up the speaker? (P11) Images with different date as recorded date are played back in the Calendar Playback. • Is the clock in the camera set properly? (P35) • Images edited on a PC or images recorded on other cameras might display a different date to the recorded date during the Calendar Playback. White round spots like soap bubbles appear on the recorded picture.
Others About the Wi-Fi function It cannot connect to the wireless LAN. Radio waves get disconnected. • Use within the communication range of the wireless LAN network. • Connection types and security setting methods are different depending on the wireless access point. > Refer to the operating instructions of the wireless access point. • When the radio waves are interrupted, the condition may improve by moving the location or changing the angle of the wireless access point.
Others It takes long time every time to connect to a smartphone/tablet. • It may take longer time to connect depending on the Wi-Fi connection setting of the smartphone/tablet, but it is not a malfunction. This unit is not displayed in the Wi-Fi setting screen of the smartphone/tablet. It takes time to setup the connection. > Try switching the ON/OFF of the Wi-Fi function in the Wi-Fi settings of the smartphone/ tablet. I have forgotten the login ID or password for the “LUMIX CLUB”.
Others The image that was supposed to have uploaded to the WEB service is not there. • Upload may not complete when it is disconnected while transmitting the image. • It may take some time after uploading the image to be reflected in the WEB service depending on the status of the server. > Wait for a while and try again. • You can check the transmission status on the WEB service link settings by logging into “LUMIX CLUB”. I would like to return the image in the WEB service to the camera.
Others Transmission of the image fails midway. • Is the size of the image too large? > Transmit after dividing the motion picture with [Video Divide] (P199). > Reduce the image size at [Size] (P224), and then send. > Image cannot be transmitted when the battery indicator is flashing red. Motion picture cannot be transmitted. • File format of the motion picture that can be sent differs depending on the destination.

About the Monitor/Viewfinder • Do not press the monitor with excessive force. Uneven colors may appear on the monitor and it may malfunction.
Others Battery The battery is a rechargeable lithium ion battery. Its ability to generate power comes from the chemical reaction that takes place inside it. This reaction is susceptible to the surrounding temperature and humidity. If the temperature is too high or too low, the operating time of the battery will become shorter. Always remove the battery after use. • Place the removed battery in a plastic bag, and store or keep away from metallic objects (clips, etc.).
Others About 3D ∫ About 3D recording With the 3D interchangeable lens attached, do not record a subject at less than the minimum focus distance. • The 3D effects may be more pronounced, and therefore cause tiredness or discomfort. • When the 3D interchangeable lens (H-FT012: optional) is used, the minimum focus distance is 0.6 m (2.0 feet). When recording with the 3D interchangeable lens attached, be careful not to shake the unit.
Others Card Do not leave the card where the temperature is high, where electromagnetic waves or static electricity are easily generated or exposed to direct sunlight. Do not bend or drop the card. • The card may be damaged or the recorded content may be damaged or deleted. • Put the card in the card case or the storage bag after use and when storing or carrying the card. • Do not allow dirt, dust, or water to get into the terminals on the back of the card and do not touch the terminals with your fingers.
Others When not using the camera for a long period of time • Store the battery in a cool and dry place with a relatively stable temperature: [Recommended temperature: 15 oC to 25 oC (59 oF to 77 oF), Recommended humidity: 40%RH to 60%RH] • Always remove the battery and the card from the camera. • If the battery is left inserted in the camera, it will discharge even if the camera is turned off.
