To allow the fingerprint to be used for authentication,
select Set as Auth. You can set only one fingerprint for
this function.
To edit the numbers associated with the current
fingerprint, select Edit Secret Dial.
To disable the Secret Dial list associated with the current
fingerprint, select Remove Secret Dial.
Secret Dial
Select this command to view and edit the list of Secret Dial
numbers assigned to a fingerprint.
You can then set Secret Dial numbers for each of 10
fingerprints. These numbers can be dialed only when those
users’ fingerprints are scanned. You can enter the name
and the phone number, and you can copy a contact’s
information from your phonebook. Copied numbers are
managed separately from the phonebook. Numbers deleted
from the phonebook are not removed from the Secret Dial
list.
Registering fingerprints
Select the finger icon using the navigation keys then
press the [Option] Soft key then select Enroll Finger.
Scan the same finger at least 3 times. If this fails, select
the command again to scan the finger again. You can
scan a single fingerprint up to seven times to successfully
register it.
If you fail three times in a row, the Help animation is
displayed to show you how to do it.
Put your entire knuckle on the sensor, push it down hard
and sweep downwards.
Setting fingerprint authentication
Select an existing fingerprint by pressing the [
K
] key and
[
L
] key then press the [Option] Soft key then select Set as
authentication. You can select only one fingerprint for
authentication.
Disabling fingerprint authentication
A finger icon is displayed in Idle mode.
Press the [Unlock] Soft key to view the fingerprint
authentication screen.
Press a number key to use this function and select the
Lock/Unlock function as you type your password.
You can select only one fingerprint.

Fingerprint Recognition
Fingerprint Recognition is used to allow dialing of specified
numbers only when your phone detects the appropriate
fingerprint.
Using Fingerprint Recognition
To select this function, press the [
F
] key then enter the
password.
(If the Fingerprint Recognition function is already set up,
press the [
F
] key then select Fingerprint Recognition.)
Getting the best out of Fingerprint
Recognition
The Fingerprint Recognition function does not guarantee
perfect identification or verification. Pantech is in no way
liable for any losses caused through the use, or the
inability to use, your phone’s Fingerprint Recognition
function.
Always scan fingerprints smoothly and at a moderate
speed.
Do not twist your finger as you remove it from the
Fingerprint Recognition sensor.
Do not scratch or press the Fingerprint Recognition
sensor, or place magnetic materials near it.
For best results, do not use this function after taking a
shower or bath, or with hardened or cracked skin.
For best results, do not use this function if your fingerprint
is excessively moist, salty or caked with cosmetics.
Fingerprint Management
To register (“enroll”) a new fingerprint or change the
fingerprint recognition settings, select the appropriate
function.
To see detailed information on enrolled fingerprints, press
the [
O
] key then select Detail View. If a fingerprint is
recognized and the Secret Dial function is activated, the
name and the phone number are displayed. To see other
fingerprints, press the [
K
] key and [
L
] key.
To enroll a new fingerprint, press the [Option] Soft key to
display the setting commands:
To add a fingerprint and set up Secret Dial and fingerprint
authentication, select Enroll Finger.
To edit the Secret Dial list associated with the fingerprint,
select Secret Dial List.
To display guidance on scanning fingerprints, select Help.
To delete an existing fingerprint, select Remove
fingerprint.
