4. First Aid Measures
First Aid: Eyes
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Get medical
attention if irritation develops or persists. Excessive dust production at the time of
cutting may cause minor eye irritation.
First Aid: Skin
None expected under normal conditions of use. Obtain medical attention if irritation
develops or persists. Prolonged contact with large amounts of dust may cause irritation.
First Aid: Ingestion
Not expected to be a primary route of exposure. Obtain emergency medical attention.
If large quantities are ingested, Gastrointestinal irritation may occur causing nausea,
vomiting, and diarrhea.
First Aid: Inhalation
Not expected to present a significant inhalation hazard under anticipated conditions of
normal use. Obtain medical attention if breathing difficulty persists. Dust from this
product may cause irritation to the respiratory tract.
If, after any exposure, you feel unwell, seek medical advice.
5. Fire Fighting Measures
General Fire Hazards: not considered flammable but may burn at high temperatures.
Explosion Hazard: Accumulation and dispersion of dust with an ignition source can
cause a combustible dust explosion, keep dust levels to a minimum and follow applicable
regulations.
Reactivity: Hazardous reactions will not occur under normal conditions.
Extinguishing Media: Use appropriate extinguishing media suitable for surrounding
fire. Do not use a heavy water stream. Use of heavy stream of water may spread fire.
Fire Fighting Equipment: Firefighters should wear full protective gear, including
respiratory protection Fire Fighters should use water spray or fog for cooling exposed
containers.
Other Information: Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water
courses.
6. Accidental Release Measures
Containment Procedures: Avoid generating dust during clean-up of spills. Sweep or
vacuum the product to recover it.
General Measures: Avoid breathing dust, vapors, and fumes. Final product may have
sharp edges. Avoid prolonged dust contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Avoid generating
dust.
Clean up Procedures: Equip cleanup crew with proper PPE. Ventilate area. Avoid
generating dust during clean-up of spills. Sweep or vacuum the product to recover it.
