The difference between this and former MG-sets is that VBAT is not mains isolated
('hot') and is alignment free.

General
The power supply has a number of main functions. These functions are dealt with in
succession:
• Mains filter
• Voltage doubling circuitry
• Degaussing picture tube
• Standby power supply
• Main supply

The mains filter has two functions: it prevents high-frequency signals to be transferred
into the mains and it protects the set from lightning damage.
