desktops, laptops, and monitors based on 51
environmentalcriteriadevelopedthrough
anextensivestakeholderconsensusprocess
supported by US EPA.
EPEAT system helps purchasers in the public
andprivatesectorsevaluate,compareand
select desktop computers, notebooks and
monitorsbasedontheirenvironmental
attributes.EPEATalsoprovidesaclearand
consistent set of performance criteria for the
designofproducts,andprovidesanopportunity
for manufacturers to secure market recognition
foreffortstoreducetheenvironmentalimpact
of its products.
