Increasing the frame rate
If your system is unable to achieve an adequate frame
rate (25 fps for PAL/SECAM, 29.97 fps for NTSC), try
the following:
Deactivate network driver and applications
Network operations often cause interruptions during
recording and playback. We recommend not working
in a network.
Audio recording
Record audio only when you actually need it, because
sound requires a great deal of processor time during
video recording We recommend a PCI soundboard.
Digital video with audio
When recording digital video sequences with audio,
remember that the audio also takes up hard drive space:
CD quality (44 kHz, 16-bit, stereo) requires about
172 KB/sec.;
Stereo quality (22 kHz, 16-bit, stereo) about 86
KB/sec., and
Mono quality (22 kHz, 8-bit, mono) still requires 22
KB/sec.
