3. g. Adjusting 5. 6 Using bar tool, roll chain around guide bar to ensure all links are in bar groove. Ltff up tip of guide bar to check for sag. Release tip of guide bar, then turn adjusting screw 1/4 turn clockwise. Repeat until sag does not exist. Screw Use the screwdriver end of the bar tool to move chain around guide bar. If chain does not rotate, tt is too tight S_ightly loosen bar nuts and loosen chain by turning the adjusting screw 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Retighten bar nuts.
THRO'FrLE LOCK-OUT The THRO]q-LE LOCK-OUT must be pressed before you can squeeze the throttle trigger This feature prevents you from accidentally squeezing the togger. CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER out to the full extent for cefd starting or after refueling The choke provides add_onal fuel to the engine dudng cold starting. PRIMER BULB The PRIMER BULB circuIates fuet to the carburetor to provide quicker starting.

The brake is designed to stop the chain if kickback occurs. • The JnertJa-aetJvated chain brake is activated if the front hand guard is pushed forward, either manually (by hand) or automatically (by sudden movement). • if the brake is already activated, it is disengaged by pulling the ftont hand guard back toward the front handle as far as possible. • When cutting with the saw, the chain brake must be disengaged.
